Ex vivo cultures of CD8⁺-depleted PBMCs from six ART-treated HIV⁺ PLWH were mock treated, treated with ALKi-3 [100µM], Romidepsin [17.5nM], combined ALKi-3 + Romidepsin or with a with PMA/I cocktail as a positive control (C+) in the presence of ARV [280 nM Ritonavir, 180 nM Azidothymidine, 200 nM Raltegravir, 100 nM efavirenz]. Three days post-treatment, concentrations of genomic viral RNA in culture supernatants were determined and the values were expressed as HIV-1 RNA copies/ml. Total HIV-1 DNA was expressed as HIV-1 DNA copies/10⁶ CD8⁺-depleted PBMCs.
